So I was playing an online game the other day using a family member's wifi next door when my system froze. After doing a hard restart, I can no longer connect to the Network. I keep getting a "limited connectivity" error, yet I'm posting this via my tablet on the same router. When I click "Diagnose and Repair" I recieve this: "Plug a cable into the network adapter Local Area Connection," and below that it says the same thing, but it says "Local Area Connection 2." It also mentions I should relocate my PC for better reception, but my reception is "Good" (4/5 bars).
My computer is running on Windows Vista, and I have not done an update in probably 3 years. I am using a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band USB adapter and the Router is a Netgear router. There is no possible way to update anything as this is a wireless connection only.
Anybody have any ideas? Would greatly appreciate any help.
*edit* clicked the diagnose option again and along with the 2 options it showed before, there's now one that says "Automatically get new IP settings for the network adapter Wireless Network Connection 7" however clicking on this fixes nothing.
