Is VPN going to conflict with MPVS Host file

Hi,

just wondered if there is going to be a conflict with the "MPVS Hosts file" I have installed (for ad blocking) and the VPN I'm about to sign up to? I'm looking into signing up to Private Internet Access VPN for 12 months to see if it's effective or not, but I didn't want to run into problems with the hosts file I have altered. Can you set me straight as to whether there will be a problem with this? I'm not that tech savvy but I seem to think that the VPN has something to do with using the host file or DNS????
