My internet works fine with the wire from modem directly connected into the laptop but when the wire from modem is connected to the router, I am not able to access the internet.
I tried to make my laptop (Running windows 7 64 bit os) as the router and i can easily access net on my other devices.
I thought there is a problem with my router. So I took my router to my cousins place who has the same ISP provider. And to my surprise ,my router worked perfectly there.
I cannot understand what i can do to fix my problem.
My ISP just provides me the wire , the modem is installed somewhere out. I just get the wire from the modem.
My ISP gives dynamic ip addresses. I have to login in the site portal.beamtele.com every time i connect the wire to my ethernet port of the laptop.
I took the router to my friends place sharing the same ISP with the same package. My router worked fine there.
i brought his Belkin router to my home to check. And at my place, it didnt work.
