I have been pulling my hair out trying to setup a server (not that i have much to pull out)
Anyhow, i have my external ip address 81.xxx.xxx.xxx , i am using port 14147 which i think i have forwarded on the router. I have just selected the one port not a range. The router also has a port trigger setting which i have made the same.
I have gone into windows firewall a set it to allow inbound and outbound traffic for filezilla, but no joy. I have checked online and i'm told the port is not open
I am using flashfxp and filezilla programs. If i put the server ip address in i can login using flashfxp.
I have done this many years in the past and seem to remember that i can't use my external ip address as both external and internal are both behind the router, am i right ?
Having said all that if i can't get an open port from the online sources then no one else can.
Can someone give me a COMPLETE idiots walk through please for the Virgin Super Hub 2 using the two apps stated.
Off now to sweep up the hair, that wont take long either !!
