wireless adapter?

I just received a used HP 8 - model 110 computer that works well for accessing the internet if my router's cable is attached, but the computer can't find the router without the cable attached. I desperately need a wireless connection. Would anyone know if the HP110 contains an internet wireless adapter? Or do I have to buy one online and download it?
