In the last couple months my laptop has been picky when concerning what network it will connect to. I have never had an issue with friends routers, or public access like coffee shops and libraries. However, my laptop will not connect to my own network. I had gotten around this by using a USB Cisco wireless card, but that broke this morning and I'm out of options.
Operating system - Windows 8.1
Laptop apdapter - Atheros AR5BWB222 Wireless Network Adapter - All drivers are up to date
Router - NETGEAR WNR2000v2
Security - WEP
When trying to connect to the network - Verifying and connecting, Connecting to this network is taking longer than usual, Can't connect to this network
There are multiple other devices that are connected to the wifi and it works just fine.
I have limited physical access to the router due to its location.
Any ideas, other than hardwiring or setting up a second router as a 'repeater'? My education depends on internet access, I am getting extremely frustrated.
