Wireless N woes

I recently bought a Netgear WNDR3400V3, already have a WN2000RPTV1.

Problem 1 - I am unable to see the Wireless N network on the WN2000RPT, even when they are right next to each other.

Problem 2 - I have a Windows 8.1 desktop, with a Ralink RT5390R wireless network driver. Says that it supports b/g/n, but it's unable to see the N network. v.5.0.37

I have a couple other devices that see the wireless N network just fine.

Any help would be great.
