Solved: All of a sudden, Phone and DSL connection figthing

For about 7 years, my DSL wire and telephone wire were both plugged into the same telephone wall jack, by a 2 in 1 telephone splitter
Yes, a dsl filter was on the telephone.connection. Never any issues

Last week, the DSL and telephone were 'fighting' that is the phone would not work if DSL was connected and vice versa.

I replaced the DSL filter and the 2 in 1 telephone splitter, the issue continues.
