I am posting this in hardware because I believe the problem to be with a setting in the router or the router itself. I have an HP computer running Windows 8. I created a network in my house, both wireless and Ethernet for use with our various game systems, phones and computers. I recently purchased a new router, the Dlink DIR 827. It is a wireless and wired router. I used two routers before this one, so this was supposed to be an upgrade in speed and efficiency. Now for my problem: since installing the new router, I have had trouble connecting to certain websites with an Ethernet connection. I did NOT have this problem with my previous Dlink router. I can switch to wireless and connect fine, but would prefer to use the hardwire Ethernet connection with my computer. I would like some suggestions or help before I decide to return the router for a replacement. The router is upgraded to the newest firmware, all settings for the new router match the old one as near as I have been able to. I have MAC filtering on with every MAC address for all equipment using the router entered. Any help or suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance for your help.:)
