A while back my grandad supplied me with one of his old laptops (It's still a fairly new and in good working condition laptop). Before he gave it to me he completely reset the laptop back to its original settings, keeping only the operating system on there. When I booted it up for the first time after he reset it I had to go through the process of restarting windows and creating my login etc etc. When I finally got into the laptop, it seems to have forgotten that it can connect to the internet though wireless or connect at all. I even tried connecting through an Ethernet Cable and this didn't work either. When I went into Device Manager, it had installed all of the correct devices to ensure that the laptop worked except when I went into other devices, it showed:
- Ethernet Controller,
- Network Controller, and
- SM Bus Controller
with a little yellow triangle with an ! inside it. I am assuming this means that the drivers cannot be found?
I need to connect to the internet to activate a game that I have just bought and I can't seem to any way at all :/ I hope you can help!
