Startup and wifi problems

Hello, I've been having a series of problems with my equium toshiba laptop, operating system is windows vista:

It can't be charged
The wifi no longer works and can't be repaired by the diagnostic nor a function button
I've also had this American mega trends screen pop up as the startup screen for some time now, a photo is attached.

Additional issues are that the date and time have to be reset every time I restart the system.

I don't know if anyone can see any possible connections between these different problems, please take a look at the photo attached.
