Good afternoon!
I have a two HP machines - a desktop running Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit, and a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I've been having network/internet issues with the laptop for the past week that have reached a low point today. Previous to today, the laptop would frequently lose internet access for a few minutes. Eventually it would reconnect. Today, however, I am getting the "No Internet access" message with the little yellow ! sign down in the task bar and no amount of begging/pleading/resetting will make it go away. I am apparently still connected to the home network itself - just no internet.
My desktop, on the other hand, is connecting to the internet just fine. Both connect wirelessly, by the way.
As the desktop seems to be fine, I am assuming that this issue is with the laptop itself and not with the router. I don't have access to the router anyway - I rent my apartment, internet is included, but connected via a router in my landlord's apartment next door. They're away for a few days, so I'm out of luck, for now, if you ask me to do something with that equipment!
Any help would, of course, be most appreciated!
