i recently bought a new router(linksys e1200v2) and finished setting up everything. with the wired connection on my laptop im getting 100 mbs after connected to the router my internet speed then became 54 mbs but my desktop and phone are getting are getting just around the 100 mark. the only way i get 100 mbs on my laptop is if i plug the ethernet cable from my router directly to laptop.
i dont know if this could have anything to do with it but my previous router had the exact wifi name and password as this new network and i had my laptop running on a static ip(its not staric on this one) also when i had the older router at the time i had a 54mb connection but now its 100mbs
i've tried forgetting network and joining back, disabling wifi adapter and enabling again, reinstall drivers and restart
any help would be appreciated thank you
