Hello,
In June we got a new router from our ISP. My father plugged it in, put the personal info for our connection and every machine on the house had internet without any further settings. 2 days ago, i noticed my browser tabs were not refreshing. The connection status showed that I have no problems, skype was connected normally, torrent was working, but browsing was a no-go. With some searching i found that my DNS is not responding. I went to Local area Connection and disabled it and re-enabled it. Everything was ok again... for 10 min or so. Then again the DNS was not responding. I thought of malware/viruses, did several scans with some software (MSE, malwarebytes) nothing was found. Then I don't know why but I made a new connection (set up new connection option) and put again my personal info on that old-fashioned window. Everything was okay once more, and that seems to have no problems no matter how much time passed. In the network window it showed 2 connections which were practically the same ethernet cable connection to the same router. So I can't understand why the automatic fails with the DNS and the manual connect works. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, it's quite unstable with the automatic option. Any ideas?
