router for blu ray

I use my blu ray player for Netflix, etc. It does not have wifi so it is connected by ethernet cord to a small box that has wifi. That box then connects (via wifi) to my router. The last two movies I watched were very frustrating because the movie had to buffer like 5 -6 times. Since that small box and my router are pretty old, I thought I should replace those. But in searching for routers, they only seem to have one piece - the router and not the second piece, the small box that I would place near my blu ray. The router is from Linksys by Cisco and is called a "Wireless-n-Ethernet Bridge with Dual Band, Model WET610N."
My wifi router sits by my computer and is connected by ethernet to my broadband box, which is provided by Comcast. That broadband or cable box is pretty new but the Cisco device is definitely several years old.
Do you have recommendations on how I should proceed?
Options:
1. replace the Cisco router & small box. If so, do they sell configurations like this any more?
2. Replace my blu ray to get one with wifi. IF so, I don't need that small box, but might benefit from a newer router.
3. Get a really long cord and physically connect by blu ray to my router or my Comcast box? Very unattractive option.

Any recommendations on new router?
Thanks very much!
