Hello,
Im trying to use wrt54gl (software: dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic) as AP for our business network. This device is to provide Wireless LAN services, its going to be connected to cisco switch, and go through our network to reach the internet, so its not directly connected to ADSL.
I have configured most of the router myself, and then i came to what should be the simplest thing in the world and im stuck because i cant grasp this device's view of VLANs.
I need the following:
-We will have 3 ssid's (one corporate authenticated through RADIUS, one for corporate mobile phones with PSK, and a guest WLAN, also with PSK)
- Corp SSID should be in vlan 25, which is also going to be native vlan
- Mobile SSID should be in vlan 20
- Guest SSID should be in vlan 50
its as simple as that, and i have configured a ton of AP's in my networking career, but this device handles VLANS differently from anything i have seen so far, any help would be appreciated.
To provide more info:
-We have a windows based DHCP and DNS servers, so this router is supposed to have only a single IP address, with gateway to our main router, and its supposed to get DHCP and DNS info from our server...i already configured this, but just to throw it out there if its significant.
