I just set up a Belkin router with a cable tv internet connection. I changed the profile name and password and I have encryption on this profile. The default name still appears in my list of profiles and also the original profile name with "guests." So my questions is : should i delete the old profile name and the guests profile? I have tried to password protect the guest profile but it still shows up as unencrypted. Do I need the guest profile? I have an old desktop that I use to connect to internet and watch Netflix on my hdtv. I also have an ancient laptop. Occasionally someone might come over with a tablet so that's where the guest need might come in. I'm basically concerned that an unencrypted/protected guest profile might be an opening for malware or other bad stuff. Thanks for helping and please assume I'm a techtard.Also, both computers are XP sp3 and running daily updates/scans of security essentials, and macafee scans.
