I have a Dell T3400 workstation computer running Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit and recently I have been losing my WiFi internet connection.
I am using a Netgear N300 router with a Netgear N300 USB WiFi antennae. Until recently I had not experienced any problems but lately when I plug a USB flash drive into my computer and then remove it I lose my internet connection. I always remove my flash drives by using the app in the Windows System Tray to stop the drive before I remove it.
After I remove the flash drive I lose my internet connection and when I look at the Available Networks widget in System Tray is shows my network but with zero bars and the diagnostic utility is of no use at resolving the problem or re-connecting. The only way I have found to re-connect is to shut my computer down and re-start it.
I have looked in Device Manager and they are no warnings or errors and everything appears to be playing nice so I am stumped and any help is appreciated. Thanks.
