I'm not sure if I like this modem... ;)
OK, I've some web servers, and email servers behind the CT-5072T. I have configured static IPs for the server, and setup port forwarding. When I did the port forwarding and got to the web port (80) a popup flashed saying that the web service (I'm assuming the comtrend's web interface) would be moved to 8080.
No error messages on email forwarding however.
Well, perhaps to be expected, it is not working. Best I can see (without going somewhere else and getting to it from the Internet) when I try to hit my web page (say www.hipson.net) I get the DSL modem (on the WAN?)
My DNS is pointing to my Internet IP.
Two questions:
1. What's going on with forwarding? I've set this stuff up on other routers with NAT and not had the problems I'm having here. It really appears that the port forwarding is not happening?
2. Is the CT-5072T really allowing access from outside on the WAN? And where do I turn that off.
