Hi,
I have a DLINK DIR-632 Router that continually drops WIFI, and disconnects devices that are set to automatically connect to my network, often to the point where I must unplug both the router and internet modem just so that the issue can be fixed 70% of the time. It is extremely frustrating and I have spent most of my weekends attempting to resolve the problem, as this is the only real time I get a chance to sit down and look into it, so it's a big waste of my free time having to continue this way.
Anyway, I came across a thread from earlier in the year that has the potential to fix the problem, but the thread had expired so I couldn't add a post.

In summary it goes on to conclude that a firmware upgrade >> http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/D-Link_DIR-632
can resolve the constant dropping out but I continually get a message showing:
"The uploaded firmware file may not be correct. You may have uploaded a file that is not intended for this Gateway, or the uploaded file may be corrupted.
If the uploaded file is correct, it is possible that the gateway may be too busy to properly receive it right now. In this case, please try the upload again. It is also possible that you are logged in as a 'user' instead of an 'admin' - only administrators can upload new firmware.
The Gateway will not be reprogrammed."
I have logged on as the admin, I do not know what could be causing a busy gateway ( I only have my laptop connected to it at the moment via LAN because I simply cannot connect any other device due to the wifi dropping out) and as far as I know the firmware link should be the same as the one downloaded by 'Alex' within the thread linked above.
Please help! This has been the best lead that I have been able to come across and I was really counting on it to pull through until the failure messages began preventing the upgrade.
