Here is the story. Did some unprotected downloads, on my HP pavilion running windows 8. (I know stupid) Since then I noticed that my wifi signal on my computer no longer shows full strength. I am trying to connect to google at the moment and my traffic on the network is showing that I have downloaded 2.15 MB in the last 25 minutes.
Laptops placed right next to the desk top show full strength signals, both apple and IBM.
I have ran and installed a couple of security and malware programs and ran the scans. They have found and fixed a lot (so they claim) yet nothing restores my Wifi.
There is also a hidden network showing on my networks list, as well as an unsecured xfinitywifi.
Is someone stealing my signal?
Has anyone ever heard of this?
