My daughter's computer is running windows 8 and IE 11, HP all in one computer, 64 bit. One day everything is ok, the next day she cannot connect to the internet. The router has been checked and is working fine. My computer is connected to the same router and I have no problem in connecting to any site. When I do a check of her connections, it shows that her computer is connected. Even the wireless will not connect to the web, but shows that shows that she is connected. I have tried everything I can think of with no success. Ran full virus scan, defraged harddrive, turned off firewall, ran trouble shooter, rebooted several time, and etc, with on results. I tried pinging the gateway and it shows where it sends 4 packets but receives zero back. Connection is there, just cannot connect to the internet. Does any one have an idea how to trouble shoot this problem without having to resort to setting the computer back to factory settings?
