I am using an OBiTALK voip device and am having choppy audio on my phone. After much troubleshooting and searching on the internet I am pretty sure the problem is my router. The router is new. The Obi support site says:
I have a Motorola Surfboard SBG6580 router and I can't find anything called Qos. I know the mac address of my Obi device and would like to prioritize it but can't figure out how. Does anyone know how to do this?

When you are experiencing choppy audio on your calls, that is because your internet bandwidth is also being used by your other network device using the internet at the same time. To solve this, you should set/configure QoS on your router. |
