Powerline Access Points - home wiring?

Powerline Access Points look like a good way to extend wi-fi coverage in a large house - very large in this case where the furthest room where wi-fi is wanted is about 50 metres from the router.

I'm concerned:-
1. About the distance - could this be a problem?
2. Can we be sure of continuity throughout the mains wiring considering that modern properties have separated circuits with distribution box rcb protection on each.
3. What happens if one of the rcbs trips for some reason?

All helpful advice greatly appreciated.

Ken
