To start off, this just recently occured. The net and router were running perfectly fine last night, but this morning, a DNS server error occured. Naturally, I logged into the router IP to check for anything, and find that under my DHCP settings, the DNS addresses had been wiped clean. I ran command configures to clear the DNS cache, and renew the IP, but still nothing.
Here's the thing: normally, i'd look for solutions first, but seeing as I have to connect via an erthernet cable and not through the realtek wireless adapter (it somehow stopped working months ago), most solutions don't work through the network properties (being a local connection and not the linksys adapter). This is where I get stuck and can't find any better solutions, so I'm pretty much desperate.
I'm running windows xp by the way.
