Bridging Router

Hey! I want to premise this that I am a newb when it comes to this.
So I have century link and the router/modem is terrible and I want to hook up my other router.
I have put the current router/modem in bridge mode and have gotten my PPOE and put all that info in on the new router. For some reason I am not getting any internet connectivity through the bridged router. Is there something I am missing? I have looked all over online and it seems to be just as simple as that but its not working. Any insight would help.
