Hello TSG network group, I am in the market for a new router it seems. Charter Cable bumped my speed and my old Netgear can't handle it anymore. It is currently at 30mbps with a "boost" they call it, hitting 60-70 range. They say everyone will be bumped to 60mbps soon, so I can imagine the "boost" will be close to 100mbps.
Looking at 4 options from Amazon. And just want to know if anyone has horror stories or bad experience setting up or using any of these.
NETGEAR Wireless Router - N900 Dual Band Gigabit (WNDR4500v1)
V1 because there is refurbished ones pretty cheap.
The v2 version; Netgear N900 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (WNDR4500v2)
A similar featured but lesser range model; NETGEAR N750 Dual Band Wi-Fi Gigabit Router (WNDR4300)
My personal pick and might go with; ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Gigabit Router
Seems to have higher reviews than the Netgear.
Just would like advice on those routers. They would be supporting 9 devices total, 7 are wireless.
There will be video streaming and gaming, sometimes at the same time.
I know more opinions are out there, I will take advice on other models, but pretty much this is where my research has left me. Those 4 are my final choices unless good reason is given to choose something else.
