Hi all. My name's Chris and this is my first post to a computer-based forum. Considering that I started during the 386 age that's a pretty good run. But I have an issue that puzzles me. I did my due diligence with a search here but couldn't find what I was after.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad W530 with a Centrino Ultimate-N 6300AGN. I connect to a Linksys WRT300N router. I can connect in G mode but not N. My current setup is the result of obsessive searching, trial, and a few errors:
on the router:
V1 (no updates available according to Linksys)
Disabled MAC filter
PSK2 Personal set to TKIP or AES
Wide radio (40mhz)
Mixed network broadcast
Channel 9 for my wide mode
Channel 11 for B/G mode (2.462gHz)
SSID broadcast enabled
On the laptop card:
N enabled (default)
2.4 and 5.2 gHz both set on Auto (default)
No preference for preferred band (default)
CTS to Self Enabled (default)
Driver 15.9.2.1 released 11/24/13 (latest driver according to Lenovo)
I've also disabled B/G transmission so the router transmits in N only. No dice. Router doesn't even show up on my computer.
Ideas?
Thanks in advance,
c
