Hello all,
I've downloaded VirtualBox and have Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 installed on it. I'm trying to setup a domain on the server and join the Windows 7 client to it - so far I've been unsuccessful.
I was hoping someone would be able to help me troubleshoot why I'm unable to connect the Windows 7 client to the domain. I've done the following so far:
I've included screenshots of the error message, as well as a screenshot showing the network configuration of the Windows 7 client. The latter is interesting because its as if the client is part of the domain - it has the first IP address within the scope of the DHCP server, the correct Subnet Mask, and the correct IP Address identifying the DHCP server. Both the server and the Windows 7 client are now unable to connect to the internet as well.

I was hoping someone would be able to help me troubleshoot why I'm unable to connect the Windows 7 client to the domain. I've done the following so far:
- Set network settings to internal network named "intnet" (default value).
- Setup DHCP on server and it is ready to service clients (assign IP addresses).
- Setup DNS on server, though I have not manually created any Forward or Reverse Lookups - not sure if that's needed.
- Added the name of the Windows 7 client to Active Directory Users and Computers.
