Consider me a tech dummy, I know very little, but am learning as I go.

Approximately 6 weeks ago, I suddenly began to have problems with my connectivity on my laptop. I have a router and multiple devices that receive wifi in the home. When I was able to get reconnected, everything ran very slow in loading- sometimes it won't even load properly. This problem in only with my laptop and only at home. When I've used a friend's wifi or public, it runs perfectly. I even purchased a new, stronger router and I still have the issue. I've been doing a lot of reading and am wondering if someone can tell me what the property settings should be for my wifi adapter. Specifically: The Advanced properties - adhoc support, country region, multimedia/gaming, radio, roaming sensitivity.

I am convinced that this is a simple problem concerning a setting of some sort as every other device using the wifi is working properly and that my own laptop works just fine on any other wifi system.

Thank you
