My wireless was working fine and then lost service. when the tech came, he replaced a splitter. my wireless would not work. he said he could do nothing about that because i use my own router instead of theirs (charter). he suggested i call the router co. which i did. they were in the middle of helping and said i would have to upgrade, quoted a price for one year. said i'd been hacked and showed me the dates. those were the days i was without internet service at all. does this sound correct. what would you suggest i do?
