I have a Dell dimension 1100 desktop running windows xp. I have it plugged to a LAN connection and the light is green when plugged in. My computer shows the two mini monitors in the taskbar at the bottom and it says that I am connected. However, when I try to open Internet explorer, it says that the page is unable to be displayed. The cable works because I used it on my net book an was able to connect fine to the Internet. I just need my desktop because it has Microsoft word, not the trial that expired like on my netbook. And yes I do need Internet on my desktop for school. This is my first forum expirence, btw, so forgive me if I need to add anymore information or anything.
