Wireless Card Issues

Hello -

I have been trying to research this issue myself and have not found anything that actually has responded to my particular issue, so figured I would try the assistance of the good folks at Tech Support Guy.

Basically, in our house internet works through the whole house on my wife's laptop and my work laptop. However, on my personal laptop, I only have wireless connectivity in our living room (which is where our router is). In every other room of the house I lose connectivity. Is this simply a sign of a hardware failure or are there any steps I maybe can take to fix the problem?

My Network Adaptors are (from Device Manager)
1) avast! Firewall NDIS Filter Miniport
2) Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet
3) Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN

All adaptors say they are working fine (in the Device Manager) except the avast! Firewall with error message: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"
